The Association for the Promotion of Theology was founded on 5 July 2000 by the Faculty of Catholic Theology. The association is chaired by the Dean of the Faculty.

The task and aim of the association is to promote theology in research and teaching in material and non-material terms.

Members are committed to the idealistic and financial promotion of theological research in Graz, above all by actively advocating the interests of the Faculty of Theology in public life.

Personalities from politics, culture, society and the church are cordially invited to become members.
